Your words and progress are yours.

What we collect

We collect the account details you provide, such as your email address or a provider identity from Apple or Google; your learning progress, saved words, collections, settings, and generated content metadata; and technical information needed to keep the app secure and working.

If you choose to import a screenshot or photo, Linguiny processes it on your device to identify words. We only upload content when a feature clearly requires a network request.

Why we use it

We use your data to provide your account, keep your learning state in sync, personalize vocabulary practice, prevent abuse, and support you. Core vocabulary learning is designed to remain useful offline.

AI-powered features

When enabled, selected features may send only the input needed for that task to our processors: Gemini for translation, examples, OCR, or lyrics; Lyria for audio generation; and Runware for cover imagery. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and control

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. In the app, you can export your data or delete your account. Deletion removes your personal account data and active sessions. Anonymous dictionary improvements may remain in the shared dictionary.
